If you are planning on utilizing the Allen Yorke boat ramp on Lake Tapps this summer, there are changes on the horizon. City crews will be busy these next few months completing the phase 1 makeover of Allen Yorke park. Park improvements include turf baseball fields, walking trails, BMX area, boat launch parking lot and new restrooms. While these improvements will be awesome for residents when they are completed, that does mean extra construction activity this summer. This also means there will be even fewer parking spots in an already crowded area.
In an effort to reduce any extra traffic this summer, the City of Bonney Lake recently voted to limit the boat ramp to Bonney Lake residents only. Unfortunately for Tehaleh residents, as we are not officially within city boundaries we are not eligible for a boat launch pass. However,
Bonney Lake residents can purchase a launch pass for $30 plus tax on the official city website. Please note, you must reside within Bonney Lake city limits and have a Bonney Lake address on your driver's license.
