If you haven’t visited the newly opened Discovery park in Tehaleh, you are missing out! Located off of Cascadia Boulevard, Discovery is located behind Tehaleh Heights Elementary School and across the street from Wesley at Tehaleh Senior Living. Located on over 15 acres, this park offers amenities for the young & the young at heart.
With the weather warming up, take your exercise outdoors! Walk, jog, or bike on the trails while taking in the beautiful views of the lake. Kids can get out their endless energy by climbing on the large rocks throughout the park, or running through the grassy areas.
Have a green thumb? Tehaleh Residents can get a plot in the community garden with your own raised garden bed. After growing your delicious fruits and veggies, you can gather with your neighbors in the beautiful manicured picnic area for dinner. If you time it right, you could even have background music from a concert in the Amphitheatre.
Discovery park offers learning opportunities throughout the park. Learn about the water cycle, how storm drainage works & the ecology of Tehaleh on the instructional graphics. Take note of the local wildlife in the surrounding hills, birds in the trees and the roost houses. Learn about native bat species by viewing the bats in the bat rockets. All of these educational opportunities allows nearby Tehaleh Heights Elementary School students to take the classroom “outdoors”. How cool is that?
