St. Paddy's Day Celebrations in Pierce County


With St. Patrick's Day quickly approaching, you might be finding yourself looking for a fun way to celebrate. Well luck is on your side, as there are many local events going on this weekend. With many events featuring green beer, Irish Whiskey & festive music, you are sure to have a great time! There's even a 5K taking place, to run off all those extra calories.

  1. The 6th Annual Lucky's St. Patrick's Day Bar Crawl taking place on both Friday 3/17 and Saturday 3/18 evenings will allow you to mingle & explore Downtown Tacoma. This event goes to 6 different Tacoma area restaurants and bars, & is advertised as the "luckiest party of the year". For tickets head to eventbrite.com .

  2. Run off those extra Guiness calories in the St. Paddy's Day 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon Run on Saturday 3/18 morning. No matter the distance, this is sure to be a gorgeous run with Downtown Tacoma and Ruston Waterway in the background. To register go to TCMAevents.com .

  3. The St. Patrick's Day Celebration at O'Malley's Irish Pub in Tacoma is a guaranteed good time. Be sure to wear green to the party, taking place on both Friday & Saturday night. There will be live music, traditional Irish dishes, & Guiness.

  4. For traditional music, The St. Patrick's Day Music Festival @ O'Looney's Irish Pub is where you should go. This event features a variety of Irish bands, & goes from 11am to closing on both Friday & Saturday night. Go to OLooneysIrishPub.com to purchase tickets.

  5. If you are in the mood for traditional Irish Pub food, head over to Doyle's Public House in Tacoma. Doyle's features a full Irish food menu, & a large Whiskey selection.
