In a Relationship? Single? What To Do On Valentine’s Day??

In a Relationship? Single?  What To Do on Valentine’s Day??

It seems like couples and singles, alike, have no clue what to do on Valentine’s Day.   Of course, there’s the obvious ideas to go out for dinner and a movie.  You can do that single, with friends or as a couple. For some, that is just perfect, for others, we are a little bored and want something different.

We’ve sought out some different ideas that would be fun for all, regardless of relationship status.  Below are some pretty interesting things to do in the Seattle area for the more adventurous ones or even things to do from the comfort of your own home for those that want to just sit back and relax.

If you are comfortable in your own skin, don’t mind a little cold weather and love exercise, try the Cupid’s Undie Run!  It sounds like a blast!  This is actually an opportunity for you to be a part of a fundraiser for the Children’s Tumor Foundation researching neurofibromatosis.  Be sure to register before February 13!

Check out your artsy side that you didn’t know you had!  How about checking out a performing arts theatre?  The Seattle Theatre Group calendar displays a couple different shows on Valentine ’s Day at two separate theatres. You can make a full day and go visit an art gallery before or after the show.  Expand your horizon.  Experience something that you may have never tried before.

There is always booking a local day cruise.  If you love the water and little romance, or you just want quality time with friends, this is a great idea.  Dinner, wine, and enjoy the view of Seattle from the water.

A spa day would be nice for anyone.  Single, a couple, or a few friends.  Get a massage, have a quiet visit, read a good book or just relax and zone out.  Book now though as this idea might be quite popular!

Don’t’ forget the kids on Valentine’s Day!  If you’re not interested in getting out of the house, have a little fun with the kidlets and have a family fun night!!  Recently, our family had our own lip sync battle! We all had a blast and just laughed through the entire night!  Parents and kids let loose, pick their favorite fun songs and lip sync and dance the night away in the comfort of your own living room!  And if you’re not tired after that, there are some hilarious family games to play to keep the fun going!

Ice skating is also something for everyone, even the kids.  If it’s not something you do often, just laugh off the awkwardness, giggle at how silly you all look, and be prepared to ice your booty when you get home!

Then there is always just junk food and movies at home.  Who doesn’t like that?

Make Valentine’s Day special with your significant other, your kids, your best friends, or even enjoy the quiet time alone.  It can be a day to enjoy no matter what your Facebook relationship status is.
